The Ant Story

The Ant Story

The Ant Story
Wongan Hills

By Maxine Gossland

The Ant Story is an Indigenous story told by Maxine Gossland in the story she talks about how for years the noongar people would use ants as a technique or way of knowing when rain was coming so they could prepare too. The way they would know is when the ants would go into a panic mode and start to build their nest up high so the water would not get to them as a way to avoid drowning.
